Zooming in at the pictures I noticed there is a wire hanging loose (just below the saddle)?

Very nice back rest. Where did you get it?
Does anyone know if this one also fits an iron Electra5S?

The loose wire, below the saddle, was actually for Heated Gloves.  It was connected to the battery terminals.  Now the temperature is better, I have removed that wire.

I had bought this back rest from CMW here in US.  I have close up pictures of the back rest in the forum and you can see the details and compare to the seat and frame of Electra5S.  Here is the link with detailed pictures or call CMW.

Checked CMW's webshop. They have a few but not the same as yours.

Icarus:

First - The catalog and website of CMW does not have exact pictures of backrests. The actual product is slightly different than what is shown under part number Z90167.

Second - Two different versions of backrests are listed under same part number Z90167.  One version fits older Bullets and other fits G5.

I spoke with Tim at CMW and verified the info.  I would suggest you to call Tim at CMW and explain your model and then order by phone so that you can get backrest that fits your bike.

Is that measured more in maint hours than actual miles?  ;)  I say that and yet I still want an Iron Barrel with no e-start.  Y'know, just to tinker with on the side, maybe make it a Fireball cafe bike.  Sometimes it's probably better that my poskets aren't as deep as my imagination.

:D :D :D Good point! Hahaha! I think an Iron Barrel that was all FireBalled up would be a neat bike! I may take the plunge if one of mine ever takes a dump on me .... the way I ride the Iron Barrels tho, it ain't too likely ..... if Buick made a motorcycle, I'd have one ... heeheehee! ...... in the left lane ..... with the turn signal on ........  ::)

I hear you on the pockets versus the imagination, too ..... I'd be ........ LENO!  ;)

He has lots of cool stuff.  Electric cars, steam cars, a moto with a helicopter turbine engine.  I hope one day he opens a museum.  I'll spend a few days there if he does.

It's amazing the amount of "regular" stuff that he has as well ...... He is MY hero, too .... and he is about unassuming for who he is. The denim shirt is what he wears - even at Concours de Elegance events ..... you gotta like that guy if you are a car or bike nut. The REALLY cool thing about him is that he'll lay a hand on the stuff .... he was apparently a pretty good wrench back "in the day" - he made his living doing it - and still twists a wrench from time to time.

Bikes are like kids, you always worry if you'll have enough money for all of them, but you always seem to manage. Go into hock.......Hide the cash from the wife? You know, what ever it takes  ::)
