I'll hit 8000 miles tomorrow.
Did the 7500 mile oil change a week ago, and put a new chain on a few days before. I just picked up a "Parts Unlimited" plain jane 530 chain from Land's Cycles on I-10 East in Houston. It's a service place and they have a lot of used motorcycles (including a nice looking CB750K). I called around and couldn't find anyone else with a chain in stock! (Well, I didn't call a lot of places, but I called a couple of others.) It came with 104 links but he cut two out for no charge while I waited.

Got an E-Z Mirror bar end in the mail today from NFieldGear. I just ordered one, and I'll use it to see what's in my lane behind me. I'll keep both handlebar mirrors to see what's coming up beside me.

I coined that out of frustration, really. My wife sometime goes on about disappointments, saying things like "I always thought I'd have this" or "I thought at this point I'm my life this thing would be true." Just give me a plate of General Tso's chicken and I've got no worries!

I finished modifying the second gas mask carrier into a saddlebag today. I'll post pictures of them hanging soon. I cut all of the major straps off of them, left two D rings on the front, then used the two one inch straps with buckles to make the hanging straps.

Installed the new Hagon's last night. I gave Dave Quinn all the particulars over the phone but just sitting on the bike in the garage they certainly feel stiff. Going on another 200 miler today to check em out. More to be revealed !

They probably would feel a bit stiffer than the other ONE!
I had to go full soft on my springs, but it depends on what springs he sent you. He may have given you a heavier set than he did me, but mine were on the fringe of too stiff.

The springs a perfect. The shocks worked perfect. My God what a difference. I couldn't be more pleased. I just got back from lunch up at Newcomb's, put 200 miles on them and am just amazed. The bike handled SO much better and is even more predictable in the twisties. Coming down Lone Pine Canyon couldn't have been any smoother too. I definitely don't miss the Monoshock set up !

  Excellent, Jack!  I've got a pair on the shelf, to be installed soon!  I promised myself that I'd be on the road again by April 1st... doesn't look possible now, between work and family stuff and a nasty cold and, oh yeah, new snow on the ground.  But soon!!!!!

Mattsz, the OEM left rear shock shaft snapped from the upper clevis I'm guessing, a couple weeks ago. The old guys were so worn out I never really noticed. I couldn't see the damaged shock because of the saddlebags cover them up. Anyway, I only had 1 complete shock left. Thus the term Monoshock. Maybe I should have called it an Uno shock ?

installed the D&D exhaust and when I was finished the dog and I took the bike for a test ride down the street and back. I think he likes the new sound of the bike.
