Still waiting on my damn crank seal, so I didn't do squat to it.  I can't even sit on my bike and pretend to ride because the left foot peg is off.  Maybe I can put the foot peg back on and strap my bike in the back of a friends' truck and they can drive me around while I pretend to ride for the 4th of July.    ;D

Started to put a flag on it to ride around on Independence Day.  Decided not to 'cause that's what all them phony draft dodging pukes on their Harleys do.
Not knocking vets and patriots here, just those DDPs that I know you've all encountered.
Ya know what?  I'm gonna anyway 'cause I'm a patriotic vet.  No, not animals.  Well, I was a Marine so maybe animals....

Rode it in 108 degree weather yesterday and in 104 degree weather today for about 1/2 hour.  Loved the sauna effect.

Pics of the Vista Cruise?  Which part number did you get?

Model #MCUVOO.  Photo attached. Use the thicker of the two rubber ring fillers with the OEM Enfield grips.  I loosened up the front brake lever assembly and slid it over enough to fit the Vista Cruise bar clamp right up against the throttle housing, then slid the brake clamp back hard against the cruise clamp.

I did a 650-mile two-day trip, riding from my home in central lower Michigan up to Sault Ste. Marie yesterday and back today, and I can attest to the Vista Cruise being a grip-saver, along with freeing me from the "tinglies."

Now, if I can get the problems worked out of the bike's seating....

I rode to my in-laws for dinner and back. No big deal. Maybe twelve miles total. I have hit just 50 miles on this bike, my first ever, and am loving it so much. Learning, expanding the rides, etc. Have a great weekend everyone.

I had to lay the bike down today. I was coming out of heavily gravelled parking lot really slowly and the gravel grabbed my tires and I had to set the bike down. Thank goodness for the engine guards I put on last year.

I hate gravel, but I'm a big fan of engine guards.  Sounds like you and the bike survived.

Rode the bike to work after lunch tonight.  Started on the first kick.

I'm fine. I was able to get clear of the bike as it fell over. I was fully geared up even though it was smoking hot. I wonder if different tires would have been helpful. The gravel was large and soft. It was crap to ride through.

Didn't get to do anything because it's storming all the bloody time. Go figure though. I have been offered a chance to work and live in Japan for a few years, and I am thining of turning it down because I will have to store the bike now that I just got going on it.
