Oh yeah, and I went the local specialist tool store to try to get a 46mm hex socket and a 3/4" drive and they could only order one in for 50 bucks. Any thoughts? I really want to get a hex not the  multi pointer so I don't risk burring the nut.

when you removed the baffle - was it straight through job or the welded perforated unit like mine used to be

Welded and perforated. Could double as a shower head. Is yours much more spritely since you took a drill bit to it? You'll have to speak up, I just got back from a ride in the dandenongs- love the sound it makes now.

Is this for the front sprocket?  I forget the exact size but the closest SAE equivalent is about 0.1mm off, works great, and is usually about half the price of the metric socket.

45mm is 1.811 inches.  A 1  13/16" socket would be made for a 1.8125 nut.
Close enough for government work, I says. :)

That's it!  It's a 46mm nut and 1 13/16" = 46.0375mm.  It cost me about $30 with the adapter at Sears and they had it on the shelf.  But it was in a separate section, just for the ridiculously large tools :)

Imagine being told you *MUST* come to work, all leave is canceled, and you won't be getting any paychecks "for the duration".

RE UCE content:  Rode B5 back & forth to work the last couple of days.   Sure am glad it sips fuel sparingly !

Gosh, that sucks.  I'm still getting paid, but I sit and look at a couple of guys in uniform who also can't do anything since no one else is working.

Mine has been in the shop for a week now.  :'(
They are trying to perform warranty repairs.
They are not able to do much as they are not able to get the parts needed from India.

Thanks for the tip about the nuts guys, I ll check it puff locally and see how it compares. Bill , very tasty machine ye got there, although I tell the sound apart from mine just from the video. But if drilling out the perforated baffle improved performance I think I'll do the same. Cheers . Gremlin , I hope they back pay you. Maybe we can send you a food parcel or something. Looks awfully close to forced labour. All the best  D.

about 2 weeks ago - straight after i bashed out the perforated disc i gave it a good run along a straight section of road and got a gps reading 132kph...about 82 mph and could have gotten more.
30 minutes later i had my first rear wheel puncture sitting on 100kph and the chance to call the wife.
"bring me the hi ace, loading ramp and the tie downs. only 50 miles away so don't be long....it's hot" lol
buy yourself a long shank drill bit and just increase the size of the holes. if your not happy -take the lot.
on my very first c5 i bought the hitchcocks efi muffler. 18 months back there was no perforated disc - just straight threw with a 10"baffle
