Thanks Wildbill, I shall take your advice. Bad luck about the puncture! Trusty Hi-Ace saves the day(with help from your wife). I used to have a diesel one - second best set of wheels I ever had. Thanks for the response, cheers D.

Mine has been in the shop for a week now.  :'(
They are trying to perform warranty repairs.
They are not able to do much as they are not able to get the parts needed from India.
 :'(

I sympathize... It took almost a year to get my C5 rebuilt, and that was just cosmetic repairs from a Close Encounter of the Deer Kind, you may recall.

So they do have a use besides hauling soccer teams.  I won't make fun of those things ever again.

I just finished installing my "butterfly" engine guard/crash bar on my 2013 RE Military C5.  I am pleased that the OD green matte finish is an exact match to the bike's color and finish.  My goal is to maintain a genuine military appearance and resist the temptation to add chrome bling like I'm accustomed to doing.

Absolutely nothing. My wife got a phone call that my 18 year old son ended up in hospital in the early morning hours - motorcycle crash. I bought him two months ago a 150cc Motomia, only available in South Africa and basically a 1970's Honda 125 cc made in China; unchanged for the last 40 years.
this was his second crash in the two months he had on the bike. The first one was minor - but this one made me decide to take the bike back from him. He had been drinking and cannot remember a thing. I took us 5 hours to trace the whereabouts of the bike which was eventually located at the fire brigade. Two cars were involved and towed away but nothing was reported to the police?

Glad it matches.  That's something that often doesn't happen.

Sorry to hear that Roeland. Drinks and bikes do not go together.  All the best for a healthy recovery for your son.

I hope he's alright Roeland. I must to similar shenanigans in my youth so I can't be judgemental . Experience is a great teacher. All the best to you and your wife. David.

Thank you all – my son is ok – very bruised but fine.  He can’t remember a thing but from eyewitness reports he apparently went straight over a traffic circle.

Got a thumbs up! (This was Tuesday, not today.) On the way home from work, tooling along at 70 indicated in the right lane, a Triumph Rocket pulls up in the second lane, gives me a thumbs up and yells "nice bike!" Then he proceeds to prove that a Rocket is faster than a Bullet. (In fact, I've never seen a large motorcycle take off that quickly... looked like crotch rocket speed.)

Since the top case is gone (luggage rack was cracked on both sides) I've really been getting noticed by other motorcyclists. Slowing down to look; actually yelling "nice bike" (happened twice) or giving a thumbs up.
