Bottom end is good enough but the connecting rod bottom bearing has to much axial play to start with, resulting in few other issues. I could be wrong though. Q for Experts, how much axial play in con rod is acceptable? UCE con rod has .20 axial play to start with and I am not comfortable to start with.
A small amount of axial(side to side) play is normal, and is present on all Bullets. Actually we see up to 4mm of axial play quite normally on the older engines.Any perceptible radial play(up and down) is unacceptable.
Ace: I think SSR has units in inches, because 0.20 inch equals 5.08 mm which is a little more than what you saw (4 mm).
Its not listed on the manufacturers US website and is listed as "temporarily un available" on Mr.H's website.Still watching and waiting. In the meantime there is always this,,http://www.straightlineperformance.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=221&osCsid=e5f0b349a9784caedf4ba44d0214ec3c
