no break in miles today ...
« on: January 27, 2008, 06:50:11 PM »
I was going to gear up and take out the 07 Classic for a nice ride to add to my break in miles this morning. Looked sunny outside. I had ridden another motorcycle to work all week in the cold. Yesterday it warmed up and rained pretty hard here in the Seattle/Tacoma area. So went outside and found the blacktop driveway slick as heck with ice. I would have probably not been rolling on two wheels for long.
Well, we're going to visit my 91 year old Mother and make her a nice lunch and play her some pinochle now. Maybe tonight I'll be able to ride.

Spikes in the rear tire and a ski in place of the front would make that KLR the perfect foul weather bike!

I was able to take a ride tonight. It was a cold one!! Went about 24 miles which brings my mileage up to about 203. Topped off the tank and got 75.3 mpg. Maybe it was the cold but the bike was giving me a little trouble going from neutral into 1st gear for the firs time.
