Man! - How'd you DO that??
There was wirey-ing and all that ... You must be a JEEN-yus!
Heeheehee ........ But seriously ....... OUTSTANDING!! Absolutely fantastic! You made that look simpler than a valve adjustment on an Iron Barrel ..... ;)I'm seriously considering putting that conversion on the "short list" of bikes to do ...... it's just too sweet lookin' NOT to! Thanks for the vid!!

Since you mentioned it, YA, we ARE cool here!
Seriously cool conversion and a great vid illustrating your process. I was kind of digging the two-into 1 exhaust set up but it looks cool with the dual too. Man, I wish my back tire was that fat. It looked nice and snug up in that fender - good look.
Love your moxie man - xs650 Enfield? Nicely done.

Thank you guys.
The wiring works...well most of it. It still needs a full rework on the wiring and I'm dreading that. The 2 into one pipes were very old and beat up, smashed on the underside, rusty ect. Too bad because they are supposed to be good for another 10hp. But they didn't have that "Interceptor" look i wanted and the new pipes are a smaller diameter for the torque. Torque more important to me because I have over driven the final drive gears. Added a oil cooler to compensate for that.
And yes most everyone on this forum has been very cool.
Dave Blasco did a nice write up on it yesterday on his blog. He was very kind about my "sacrilegious" treatment to my Bullet.

I guess now I have to Take some video of it on the road somehow and fairly soon.
Cheers, Gerry

Thank you ERC, coming from you I take that as high praise. The swing arm is a standard '77 Yamaha xs650 hung on Enfield pivot pin with metal bushes. Small bits added only to attach the fender directly to it.

That is just the sort of special I like best. Ironically, I think this is because the attention to detail and choice of harmonious cycle parts actually results in something of a stock bike look and feel. This cohesiveness, or authenticity, makes people stand back and scratch their heads when they are trying to work out just what it is they are looking at.
There are so many lavishly funded custom bikes out there that don't work for me because they are just an assemblage of special, or bling, parts flying in close formation.

Wow, I am envious of you guy who can make these conversion work... It is one thing to draw this on paper, but actually doing it is something else.

The first photo was taken at the Nickerson Street Saloon here in Seattle. That's cool!

Gotta ask. Does it shake more than it did with the Bullet engine? My experience with the XS650s are that they vibrate more than an SR500 Thumper, and the SR shakes more than an Enfield. How is it working out?
Nice looking conversion, though.
