Description: Left to right:

Me, Abhinav, Rohan, Amarinder and Naveen.

Amarinder's throttle cable failed and he had to ride for a couple of hours controlling the throttle using his hand by pulling the cable connected to the carb. It was pretty dangerous to ride like that in the hills but he had no choice.

Moral of the story-  Always carry spare cables and tools!

Thanks for sharing,Biplav...I once had to ride home pulling the throttle cable with a pair of vise grip pliers...but now I carry a spare throttle,clutch and brake cable,and plenty of tools!
