December 25, 2009, 10:24:09 AMEnfield or not, that's one beautiful flattie...who cares if it's a parts bike? Collect coins and stamps,RIDE your motorcycles,it's what they're made for...
April 14, 2009, 09:07:18 AMBy blanket I mean that I bought each bit off of a table or blanket at a parts swap meet. I had been building 'iron' harleys for awhile and had a lot of leftover bits. As an exercise in harley building, everything pretty much between '36 and '84 will bolt up and this is what you get!
Johnny Cash had a song about working in a Cadillac plant and building a car over the years with parts smuggled out of the the plant in his lunch box. That's kinda the idea.
It's got '36-'38 heads, '41+ (finned) side covers, '60s FL frame, '84 rear brake, '70s front disc (I like to stop), electric start and 12volts. Tank shifter is from a '41 knuckle head. Paint is a 1940 factory scheme. I built her in '92. Rode about 5k last year on her to work and we're about to begin the new season.
March 31, 2009, 04:01:39 AMWhat is this bike exactly? Whats 'Blankets' and whats 'ULH' forgive my ignorence, we don't get too many things like this across the pond. Can I assume its some kind of Harley? Looks incredible by the way.
