July 27, 2009, 12:14:45 PMI would keep the bench seat.
I don't ride motorcycles anymore. By the way, I am in my sixties and owned many motorcycles during my riding career. I quit riding because of 2 accidents in a 3 year span, the 2nd one almost did me in. I felt I was a danger to myself.
March 18, 2008, 12:55:31 PMThose are the upgrades. If you are thinking of these performance mods I would suggest running it stock for a couple of thousand miles first. Then you will get the pleasure and joy of knowing if there was an improvement. Go figure.
March 17, 2008, 11:57:41 PMYour bike looks great. Have a question though. The air filter and tail pipe look modified. Is that the K&M pancake air filter and modified carb that gives the 500cc a bit of a boost?
January 15, 2008, 04:27:36 PMhi terry its great to see that you gave your bike the perfect RE feel , i have joined this group today n found many interresting bulleters in this web site. Email: [email protected]
December 05, 2007, 09:31:53 PMThanks bullrider. Now that my bike doesn't look like that anymore, I already miss that look. Grass always looks better on the other side of the fence. I am not so sure I like my "hot and sexy" babe to be dressed up so differently now. Now she is just "flashy and sexy".
September 14, 2007, 08:55:12 PMThanks Rickmax for your comments. Headlight visors? "Classic Motorcycle Assessories", the creators of this forum, will sell you one. CMA is trying to break all of us but we love it. I just ordered a tool pouch for the front fork of my bike. Just had to have it.
July 23, 2007, 02:41:04 PMJustin, I love the seat. I especially love the look. Comfortable? I just returned from a 500+ mile road trip this past weekend, my first long ride on the Electra, and I had just minimal butt soreness. Very little pain. What's behind the seat? The old rack for the stock bench seat. I am waiting for a black luggage rack to come in that I have ordered. I am also still waiting on the Electra Classic Kit to come in. Chrome front and rear fenders, chome and green tank, and Enfield emblem on the front fender. Its taking forever and I have already paid for everything, but I believe it will be worth the wait. Good luck on your hunt. Except for a few leaks, its a great bike and ride. I warn you though, don't buy this bike if you are a loner or don't like attention.
