Description: Here's my bike, I have added bar-end mirrors since this was taken, otherwise still looks the same. Don't get to ride much, only have 1049 miles on it. Finally, get to do 50-55mph. Took this muffler off my 63 panhead I was working on, sold it, kept the muffler!! John

July 04, 2011, 01:51:32 PMSub, sorry I forgot the 2nd part, yes, it was fairly loud, but I have put steel wool down thru the "in" end around the baffle and it sounds pretty good to me, JB
July 04, 2011, 01:49:20 PMHey, Sub, the muffler is from J & P Cycles for a Harley. Seems like it was around a hundred dollars. Look in their vintage catalogue, John
June 14, 2011, 01:55:58 PMPRVenkat, thanks for the comment, but in all my years, I have not seen a factory muffler that I liked the looks of with the exception of some older Triumphs. I always do something to ALL my vehicles as soon as I get them, guess I don't like to meet myself on the road, ha !! Thanks again, John
July 07, 2010, 09:14:47 AMWell thanks! It does sound pretty good, seemed a bit high-pitched as it came, so I took the liberty of stuffing steel wool down around the removable "silencer". Gave it a much deeper, smoother sound to these old ears. BUT, still nice and noticeable from a good distance.Ha !!! Loud pipes saves lives ! Thanks again, John
