Description: This is a pic taken from the outside of the battery installation looking into the command post. It shows the original range finder mount that is still intact. This battery at the fort was constructed about 1908 as part of the triangle of fire to protect the inlet into Puget Sound from enemies entering the Strait of Juan de Fuca.
