September 06, 2011, 11:53:31 PMIt's super funny reading these comments while I'm hearing roosters crowing here in my neighbor's yard. Yeah, they are EVERYWHERE. We get used to it and I don't even hear it. As for eating them, I'm sure some people do. I've eaten the eggs and they are great, but small.
September 05, 2011, 06:22:01 PMThose damn birds are everywhere, and the males make a racket all hours of the day and night. They don't just scream when the sun comes up. Nothing like a rooster yell at 3 am outside your window.
By the way, this photo's color is correct... the grass really is that color on Kauai. Effing neon.
September 05, 2011, 03:28:51 PMHello Kauai 1800, I was there a few years ago. One hell of a ride up the mountain to the Wet Spot. Are there still wild chickens all over the island ? ! Nice looking Enfield.
