But it can be done without removing the headlamp... turn the handlebars to far left; follow the wires from switch to the underneath side of the headlight nacell; unplug the first plug and pull out the4" pigtail; unplug other end and then re-connect the 2 remaining ends...VOILA!! 2 minute job and you've beaten the DOT!!!!! - MIke
