Gaurav confirms it is a stock bike in all respects - and not being mechanically inclined, he did not want to have any to deal with any complications that modifications may bring. As I said, although he looks after the bike, he sees it as a tool that serves him well, and needs to keep doing that. Not an end in itself.

I do not think so, its a stock bike. Only mods is the frame visible at the back to carry his stuff - camera, tent/clothes, 20 litres of gas, and he did mention that the heaviest single item he was carrying was the rods/levers to change tire tubes in case of punctures.
