The aluminium disk are just for vanity, they have no actually function. Johnny, my bike is an early 99 so it is a kickstart only, no electric start. I also prefer the tanks with just Enfield, I see them on ebay every once in a while for a reasonable price. Thanks for the nice words on the bike. I have recently purchased a 08' Triumph Thruxton, ill post some pics later tonight.

Doesn't look really any differnet than my 2007 but I would take your bike , looks wise , over mine. Is it the ENFIELD on the tank instead of ROYAL ENFIELD?
