Slider- that 700S is looking GREAT!  Man- what a great bike.  One of the unsung heroes in the motorcycle world.  Needless to say, I've always wanted one, but never got a round tooit.

So.  I've mostly had old Beemers and Indians.  I used to like to shuffle the deck- too much, really.  Oh well, easy come- easy go.  I used to have some money.  That was a long time ago, and besides, when BMW's and Indians were just old bikes- they were elatively cheap.  Plus, I used to dabble in old cars.  They take up too mauch space, though.

So now I also have a Kawasaki W650 and a 1965 R100/2 with a 1953 Steib S500 on it.

Hey Ace- I thought you had 2 Pellets uh- Bullets.

I have three motorcycles right now. First my 2007 Yamaha XT225 dual sport. I like having a dual sport, as that's how I started riding 48 yyears ago, and I've owned quite a few of this type of motorcycle. Second is my 2006 Harley-Davidson Sportster XL883. Its my second Sporty. My first was a 1984 XLX-61 1000cc bought new that year.My '06 looks just about the same as the '84-black.The '84 even had black handlebars, black exhaust, etc. It was a stripped down model with a solo seat, and I left it 100% stock. That XLX was a bike that helped save HD during that very tough time period too. Last is my 2007 500 RE Bullet Classic in British racing green. The old "iron barrel. There's about twenty other motorcycles I've owned since I was eight years old.

Now, as for a few I'd like to own.........HD XR1200 Sportster, Anakits Musket, Suzuki DRZ400SM,maybe a nice Suzuki SV650, Honda XR650L etc, etc.

Hey Uncle Ernie, I bought that fairing from our friends at Hitchcocks. It's an Avon fairing made in England. I've had it a little over a year now. Works great on these cooler days of riding. I do get a LOT of strange looks. A fellow at McDonalds thought it was the BatCycle!!!!

I thought it would be 40 or 50 years old.  That's a very old style -I had no idea they were available new.

The secret to good looks is riding a Bullet.

This is my other ride...

Love the picture! 3 years ago, I made a mistake and donated my 1985 CB 700SC to a former student. That Nighthawk was my first new bike, and I kept it until 2006. Now, I only have the 09 Bullet G5. Other than the Nighthawk, I had a 74 CB360T and a 7? CM400.

If circumstances (and my wife) will allow me, I would like to buy either a ChiangJiang or Ural hack. As a China specialist, I'm partial to the CJ. I'm also keeping an eye out for a 1980s R65 (the bike I didn't buy in 1985, going with the Nighthawk).
